Alphason Audio to showcase the HR-200S-AZ Reference Tonearm with Azimuth Adjust at the UK Audio Show
Since it’s conception in 1985, and its ultimate success in the late 80’s early 90’s, the original Alphason Audio HR-100S reference tonearm has built an almost cult following, highly regarded and sought after by audiophiles worldwide.
Now, building on the foundations of its predecessor, Mike Knowles has returned. Taking the original concept and knowledge and furthering those ideas to improve upon them and ultimately create a truly outstanding tonearm in the HR-200S.

The HR-200S tonearm is rare, its features combine to create a tonearm that we are extremely excited to share. Versatile, elegant and thoroughly engineered with a pedigree that continues to push the boundaries and punch well above its weight.
And now the HR-200S is also available with a simple method of addressing azimuth adjustment.
For the first time, Alphason Audio will be showcasing the HR-200S-AZ at the UK Audio show.
The HR-200S-AZ version of the HR-200S tonearm has a specially designed, two-piece inner bearing gimbal which now enables fine adjustment of the azimuth angle, with the inner azimuth ring allowing rotation relative to the outer azimuth ring, without impairing structural rigidity and sound performance.
Alongside the HR-200S-AZ, Alphason Audio will also be showcasing the HR-200S VTA Optimiser. The Vertical Tracking Adjustment Optimiser is compatible with all versions of the HR-200S and allows for quick and easy VTA adjustment while you are listening!
